P90 Workout!

Look for me in the NEW P90 !
My name is Terry Spencer. My life is all about God, Family, and Friends.
I spend a lot of time as a President/CEO of four companies.
I have been thru the P90X workouts. I am in the NEW P90 Workout Video! Here is Tony Horton and I demonstrating some new moves in P90 !
Today I have helped many men get rid of the belly fat and get their confidence back! I had done it and knew with my help they could do it too. My latest online workout group lost 32 to 47 lbs in 90 days!! True Story!!
But for now back to my story.
Because of my busy schedule I did the inevitable, I neglected myself. One day I woke up and found myself overweight, out of shape, and surprised that I had let this happen. I was also getting a different opinion of myself.
The first thing that goes thru your mind is this how in the world (if at all) can I get back in shape?
I was disappointed in myself. I was mad at myself. I had always been in great shape. Now, all of a sudden I look in the mirror and something had crept up on me. I was still the same person on the inside but on the outside I had changed and it was now affecting me. It was time to make a change. I knew that if I kept doing the same things, I would get the same results over and over again! That’s when my son Josh convinced me to try P90X which he had already done and gotten incredible results. The rest is history! Watch my video and you will see what I’ve accomplished!

My name is Terry Spencer. My life is all about God, Family, and Friends. Here is my transformation! This video is my P90X followup progress for two years!

My Story about getting old , out of shape , and gaining weight . What I did to turn it all around.

I woke up this morning at 4:30 am and creeping around the house trying to stay as quiet as I could so that I didn't wake anyone up.  Recently, my Father-in-law moved in with us and my Sister-in-law came to visit so having people in the house other than myself and my husband has brought changes to our household.  I am here to say they have been wonderful changes.  I have never seen Terry, my husband so happy and so full of love in such a long time.  As I finished my shower I could hear laughter coming from the kitchen so I stood in the hall listening to the three of them having such a wonderful time reminiscing about their childhoods and the memories that they had of one another.  It is so great to see his family finding their way back to each others lives and being able to share love for one another.  It is all about LOVE and what God created a Family to be for one another.  That is, to be there to support each other to care and lift each other up in the good times and in the bad times.
So, my heart too is Full and this time it is for Terry his Dad and his sisters.  Cherish your family and show them how much you care for them.  And don't forget to tell them that you LOVE them!!!

Quick Chicken Noodle Soup

Heat the broth mixture in the microwave to jump-start the cooking. Meanwhile, sauté the aromatic ingredients in your soup pot to get this dish under way. Though we like the shape of fusilli, you can also make this soup with wide egg noodles, rotini, or even orzo

Ingredients

  • 2 cups water
  • (32-ounce) carton fat-free, lower-sodium chicken broth $
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 cup prechopped onion $
  • 1/2 cup prechopped celery $
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • medium carrot, chopped $
  • 6 ounces fusilli pasta
  • 2 1/2 cups shredded skinless, boneless rotisserie chicken breast $
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley

Preparation

  1. 1. Combine 2 cups water and chicken broth in a microwave-safe dish, and microwave at HIGH for 5 minutes.
  2. 2. While broth mixture heats, heat a large saucepan over medium-high heat. Add oil to pan; swirl to coat. Add onion, celery, salt, pepper, and carrot; sauté 3 minutes or until almost tender, stirring frequently. Add hot broth mixture and pasta; bring to a boil. Cook 7 minutes or until pasta is almost al dente. Stir in chicken; cook 1 minute or until thoroughly heated. Stir in parsley.

Realizing the Circle of Life.

As I sit here working on my coaching business I see my reflection in my laptop.  I realize I am now looking at a face that has been weathered from the years of hard work and struggle. I then start to recall all the memories and accomplishments in my life. Yes I am getting older at a much more rapid pace now but it seems as though I still have much to achieve.
I remember when I was young it was about getting rich and famous! When I got married and had children it was all about spending as much quality time with Teresa, Josh, and Courtney as I could while building a business. As the children got older we taught them that no one should ever limit their hopes of accomplishments and dreams. "Never give up!" I would always say! Plan, execute and follow thru is the key to success. When our children grew up and became successful I realized I had just witnessed the circle of life. Now it's Teresa and I and all I want to do is somehow give as much of me to her as I can. She taught me how to open my heart, how to love, how to forgive and most of all she taught me that life is lonely when it's only about yourself.
So now my father has been brought back into my life. It is such a bittersweet moment in time for me. The many years of memories that could have been are lost forever and cannot be replaced. I am now living in the moment and am doing my best to create and harness all the memories I can with him.
I wonder why God has blessed me with so many people standing beside me and supporting my ambitions. I am not ready to slow down. My face may be weathered and tired but it does not reflect my passions for life. Never give up is what I taught my children. Never giving up is my way of life. I will continue to work hard, I will keep striving for my goals, and I will never quit.
What have I learned throughout the years? These are the things that come to mind; 1.) Life gives back only if you open your heart to others. 2.) Treat people with respect. 3.) Give as much of yourself to the ones you love. 4.) Trust in yourself to make the right decisions. 5.) Finally and MOST IMPORTANT, TRUST IN GOD! Give your worries and sorrows away to God. You only have one life to live. Remember this, life will come and go no matter how you live it. Do what is necessary now to create happiness for the future. When I leave this earth I want to know that I did all I could have done to change lives and create happiness for others. Happiness cures many things.
What would I do if I could change my profession? I would want to be a Doctor of Happiness.

Life is about taking a moment and letting someone know it will be alright. No matter how bad things seem to be, good things will come. This moment was so special to me. I was able to make things better for my granddaughter. I will remember this moment, always.

2 Bean Turkey Chili !

Chili is one of my favorite things to eat this time of year. So, I wanted to post a healthy version of it. It is provided by Gracious Pantry.
Ingredients:

1 1/2 pound lean, ground turkey
5 cloves garlic, chopped fine
1 medium yellow onion, chopped
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 (28 ounce) can diced tomatoes (not drained)
1 (15 ounce) can black beans, no sugar added, drained and rinsed
1 (15 ounce) can kidney or cannellini beans, no sugar added, drained and rinsed
1 pound frozen corn (optional)
2 teaspoons ground cumin
1 tablespoon chili powder
1 (12 ounce) jar of your favorite salsa

Directions:

In a large pot, saute’ the garlic and onion in the olive oil.
Stir in the meat and brown, breaking it up as you stir.
Stir in everything else and cook over medium-high heat until the meat is cooked through. Stir frequently to avoid any burning on the bottom of your pot. If you need extra liquid, you can always stir in a little chicken broth to get the consistency you like. But I found that the salsa was enough. Do what suits your tastes.
Allow to cool and serve.
Note: If you can manage it, store this overnight and enjoy the next day. The flavor is even better on the second day when the flavors have really melded. Yum!

Healthy Fruit Pizza with Oatmeal Cookie Crust

I like to throw my kids a curve ball from time to time. When I call out to tell them that “pizza is on the table,” I love to watch their confusion. They always have a surprised look on their face because their pizza is covered in fresh fruit. That’s right, I duped them with my healthy pizza.
This pizza is a healthier version of some of the other fruit pizza recipes floating around, but it is equally as tasty. The kids really like the drizzled honey that I put on the crust to add a little extra sweetness.
Play around with whatever fruit you have available. I have added sliced apples, pears and bananas. But my kids usually love it when I add lots and lots of berries.

Fruit Pizza with Oatmeal Cookie Crust

  • 1/3 cup grapeseed or coconut oil
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1-1/2 cups whole wheat pastry flour (or half white and half whole wheat flour)
  • 3/4 cups rolled oats (not instant)
  • 1-1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans
  • Greek yogurt
  • Honey
  • Assorted fruit slices
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Line 12-inch pizza pan with parchment paper, allowing it to extend 1 inch over the edge on at least 2 sides; set aside.
  3. In large bowl, whisk together oil, applesauce, brown sugar, egg, & vanilla until well combined.  Add flour, oats, baking powder, cinnamon; stir with wooden spoon until well combined. Stir in chopped pecans.
  4. Transfer dough to center of parchment-covered pizza pan, and spread with back of wooden spoon evenly to edges of pan.
  5. Bake 15 minutes until starting to slightly brown around edges and is firm in center. Cool 15 minutes in pan on cooling rack. Pick up pizza crust using the parchment paper and remove crust from pan.
  6. Transfer to cooling rack; cool completely. Invert onto serving plate; carefully peel off parchment paper. Turn crust over.
  7. Once crust has cooled, drizzle with a small amount of honey
  8. Add a dollop of thick greek yogurt and spread over crust.
  9. Arrange fruit on top of pizza.
  10. Chill for 30 minutes or serve immediately.

When I started this journey I would never of dreamed how hard I would have to fight to make a statement and to be an example to so many people who think that they could ever reach their dreams.  One of the things that has stuck out in my mind is that if you truly want to reach your goals you have to give every ounce of your being to believing in yourself.  See, I have struggled my entire life in truly believing in myself.  What I mean by this is that I have always been a positive person and done new things to engage myself but I have never set such a high goal in myself because I didn’t believe it was possible.  Planning out my goals and learning to take one day at a time, one workout at a time, one meal at a time and each day never giving less than 100%.    Sure, it has been very hard and there have been days that I have cried and said, “Is this worth it?”  What I have had to do is talk to myself and remind myself of the big picture and the impact that I may make on so many people who have always given up. Watch my video and see my journey as I compete in my very first Body Building Competition.

Defining Your Passion

So many people I talk to are not happy with their lives. Recently this happened in a discussion with a friend and I made a point to ask what would make him happy? The answer is almost always the same, he wanted to make a living doing something he loved to do. When asked why he wasn't living that life he replied, "Circumstances and timing has forced me into the situation that I am in today. My friend paused for a moment and then looked me in the eye and said, "Weren't you afraid of losing everything when taking such big risks?"  I replied, "I was more afraid not to take action against my fears for that they might come true!"
So take a quiet moment to think about where you are and if you want to continue the path your on or is it time to go outside of your comfort zone and follow your passion.

How Failure Saved My Life.

I'll never forget my First Solo Flight. This picture was taken while doing my solo flight before my final approach to the runway. Soon after this picture was taken, I found myself experiencing one of the most traumatic moments of my life. I found myself utilizing all my past experience and training when another Pilot had decided to fly a reverse pattern in unauthorized airspace. The Pilot had met up with me on final approach was about to land on top of me! I could have easily panicked and made the wrong move which would probably have killed me. I instead remembered the things I was taught and kept my cool and thought out my next action. My lessons in Pilot training, life, and business, taught me that there is always time to make the right decision. It's so easy in life  to hurry up and make a quick decision. Don't feel bad if that is you, many people operate that way, I was one of them. You see, It actually saves time or maybe years if you take the time to make the right decisions. How do you know what is the right decision? Your past, that's right rely on your past!  You should be drawing from all the bad decisions and good decisions you have made in life. How? Remember what factors caused your bad decisions and figure out what you could have done to change the outcome! Good decisions are easy, just remember what factors caused you to make the right decisions! Those factors are what I like to call THE FACTORS OF LIFE LESSONS! This is what makes you who you are today. Ok, on with the story. I had to make the decision to do what many of you would think is the last thing anyone should do in this situation. Yep, I pulled all power off! I know it sounds crazy but it was my well thought out decision. The plane was directly above me, I did not have enough time to go faster since he was descending on top of me. I could not turn left or right because I would have clipped his wings. I did have enough time to go slow enough to let him fly down and in front of me to make his landing. After he was clear from me I pushed full power and flew out of the pattern. After the incident I realized how fortunate I was. I thank God that I had the training I had and the life lessons to reflect on. I drew from one particular failure in my life when I made a decision to quickly with better options available. In this situation I took the time to explore all my options. Always let something from every failure become a life lesson. Failure is not a reason to quit, It is an opportunity to learn. I am alive today because I choose to learn from mine.

Making it Happen!

I needed to improve my life, Plain and Simple!

You see, at the time I needed two things in my life,1.) My health back.
2.) I needed financial freedom.
Yes I bought into the whole thing about how P90X was going to get me ripped, healthy, and get my high school body back.
I watched the commercials over and over again until finally I knew it was my time to get what I wanted out of life.. This P90X was going to fulfill the # 1 on my list but little did I know # 2 was going to happen as well. Four years fast forward and not only has P90X improved my body, health, and life, but my lifestyle as well! Because of my transformation, I wanted others to experience what I had experienced. I educated myself on what was necessary to become a P90X coach! It was a lot simpler than I thought and before you know it, I was signed up! The extra income has enabled me to do things with my family that I could not have done.  P90X has changed My Way of Life in so many ways that living it is the only way to experience it. I have helped hundreds of people set life goals, get in shape, and earn extra income by becoming a coach themselves.
So with that being said, I am looking for 2 proteges to take under my wing as a coach. Because of my busy schedule I am only able to effectively train a couple of coaches at a time. No experience is required, just a desire to change the life you are living.  To be a coach is to have your own low overhead business. For aprox $40.00 you will get your own websites, training, and the satisfaction of working for yourself. Remember, to get different results you have to change what you do on a daily basis. CLICK HERE to apply to be a coach with Team Succession.
God Bless!
